My name's Dennis

I live in Köln.

I love learning new things and being inspired by the internet and its many creative individuals.

I like playing the guitar and volleyball and more recently boxing and weight lifting.

I'm trying my best to be a cosmopolitan because I think the idea of nationalism is out of date.

This is a snippet of my life (and/or what I find interesting).

It doesn’t matter how good or bad the [Amazon Kindle] is, the fact is that people don’t read anymore. Forty percent of the people in the U.S. read one book or less last year. The whole conception is flawed at the top because people don’t read anymore.

Steve Jobs

This reminds me to mention the great article on literacy in New Yorker’s Dec 24th’s issue called The science of reading and its decline.

This post reminds me of how I want to reread “Amusing Ourselves To Death” by Neil Postman.
