last.fm speichert die mp3s auf ihrem Rechner!

Man findet die Dateien im Browsercache, bei Firefox mit zufälligem Namen und ohne Endung MP3, aber sie sind vorhanden. In MP3, unerschlüsselt und mit 128 Bit, man muss die Datei nur finden und in *.mp3 umbenennen. Die Datei zu finden ist recht einfach, hat sie doch eine verräterische Größe von in der Regel mehreren MB, während die meisten Dateien im Cache des Browsers viel kleiner sind, vor allem wenn man diesen vorher mal löscht damit nicht so viel Krempel drin rumfliegt. Nach meinem laienhaften Verständniss müsste die Weiterverwendung dieser MP3s sogar rechtens sein. Erstens stammen sie eindeutig aus einer offiziellen und legalen Quelle. Zweitens liegen die Dateien unverschlüsselt auf der Festplatte des Besuchers herum, denn last.fm hat sie dort selber hingelegt. Also wird auch kein Kopierschutz umgangen, und es wird eigentlich nicht mal eine Kopie erstellt, die Datei ist ja schon da.

I feel like I owe a huge apology to the Aquadevils stunt waterski team. As your speedboat driver I know that you look up to me. And I have tried hard for the last 7 years to always be there for you and drive fast as shit. But last Saturday, I drove way too fast. When Rick hit the jump, he was going 175 mph. And even though he stuck the landing, we all watched as he burst into flames. And instantly perished. In a blaze of glory.

Hey gang, I know you’re pissed at me. But come on. Going fast is what makes us Aquadevils. If Rick’s body can’t take the heat, maybe this is God’s way of saying ‘get out of the kitchen.’ Or lake. You know what I mean.

Hope you dudes can forgive me. I’m all torn up about this.

Two days ago I finished reading the Fountainhead

by Ayn Rand. What a book! It’s such a tension one feels throughout the book to learn about Howard Roark…
